Chris Applegate

Chris served seven years in prison and came home four years ago to a reentry system that offers little beyond a trash bag of belongings and a bus ticket. He founded Camp Kedesh, Inc. to change that — building transitional housing rooted in dignity rather than a revolving door. He also founded Restoration Kentucky, which drives the policy work behind Camp Kedesh’s boots-on-the-ground model, and serves as Managing Member of Effective Assistants of Counsel, LLC, providing paralegal services to Kentucky attorneys.

Adrienne Southworth

Adrienne served as Kentucky State Senator for District 7 from 2021 to 2025, focusing on government transparency, constitutional liberty, and justice reform during her time in Frankfort. She earned her JD from Mitchell Hamline School of Law while in office and is now an attorney in solo practice based in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Adrienne continues to speak out on government transparency issues at the Capitol and provides informal legal guidance to Camp Kedesh, drawing on her legislative and legal experience to support the organization’s mission.

Jim Peterson

Jim is a dedicated advocate for criminal justice reform through his nonprofit, REimagine Justice Inc., which works to educate the public about mass incarceration. He mentors incarcerated individuals through The Prisoner’s Hope and is a member of ACLU Smart Justice Advocates. His family’s own experience with the justice system — including a cousin’s 17-year incarceration before a gubernatorial pardon — shapes his commitment to this work. Jim spent 44 years as an architect and homebuilder in Louisville, Kentucky.

Erica Davenport

Erica is the Founder and CEO of TITO, Inc., a Kentucky nonprofit providing food, recovery support, workforce development, and reentry navigation to individuals and families rebuilding their lives. Her own journey through addiction, incarceration, homelessness, and trauma shaped her commitment to meeting people with compassionate, judgment-free support — the belief that a person’s worst chapter doesn’t have to be their last. She’s an active community advocate and speaker, and hosts TITO Talks. Erica brings both lived experience and hands-on nonprofit leadership to Camp Kedesh’s mission of dignified reentry.
